Thaajuddeen School is a prominent government educational institution situated on Thaajuddeen Hingun in Malé, Maldives. Established on February 7, 1989, and named after the esteemed Maldivian historian Hassan Thaajuddeen, the school was officially inaugurated by then-President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom.
Originally opened as Thaajuddeen Primary School, it was renamed in 1990. The school expanded its offerings to include secondary education in 2002. In 2004, a new building was constructed with assistance from the Government of Japan, significantly enhancing its facilities.
Currently, Thaajuddeen School provides education for students from grades 1 to 10, with a teaching staff of 118 and an enrollment of approximately 1,492 students. The school features a range of facilities, including science and computer laboratories, a health room, and a multipurpose audiovisual room.
Guided by its motto, "Strive for Excellence," the school's mission emphasizes the importance of instilling goodwill and Islamic values, creating a safe environment, and fostering a culture of enthusiastic learning.
